Applesauce Cake
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup heavy oil (such as Wesson)
- 2 T cinnamon
- 1 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tsp ground cloves
- 1-1/3 cups thick applesauce (about a can)
- 3-1/2 cups flour
- 2 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- 1/2 cup light raisins (optional)
Hand mix ingredients. Place batter in greased angel food pan
(heavyweight) and bake one hour at 350oF until tooth-
pick comes out dry.
